Our goal
Fostering freedom of thought in the culture of Bangladesh
Bangladesh Art Criticism Trust is a platform committed to advancing art criticism and creative practices in Bangladesh and across the globe. We focus on expanding dialogue, innovation, discussions, exhibitions and events on other social issues.
Led by a diverse group of faculty members from public and private universities, artists, social workers, civil society representatives, scholars, and art critics, BACT functions as a platform for advancing both traditional and contemporary art practices. The Trust aims to strengthen art education and criticism through training, exhibitions, publications, and community-based art initiatives from village to global levels.
In addition to fostering creative exchange and partnerships with national and international institutions, BACT endeavors to build sustainable art markets, support local artists, and promote the global recognition of Bangladeshi art. Through its multidimensional programs—ranging from research and consultancy to fairs, dialogues, and policy advocacy—BACT aspires to elevate the standard of art discourse and empower a new generation of culturally aware and critically engaged citizens.
