At the seminar the Trust acted not only as an organizer but as a platform for cultural and intellectual advocacy. Sanjoy Kumar Dey, Chairman of the Trust and Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History, University of Dhaka, presided over the seminar. He noted that when a person falls victim to trafficking, it is not only one individual who is lost: society is also deprived of their knowledge, skills and cultural contribution. He pledged that the Trust would continue its cultural initiatives to address social problems.
The Trust’s General Secretary Roton Malo moderated the seminar. Researchers, journalists, writers, artists, teachers and students of the University of Dhaka, and representatives of national and international organizations took part.
